About me: Giles Sciolti
As you may have guessed by now, I'm not your typical High Street Solicitor! Originally qualified in Engineering, I spent many happy years in the automotive industry (working for one of the last, prestigious British manufacturers, before it was bought up by the Americans!) But not wishing to work for Uncle Sam, I decided that a switch of career was called for and so took myself back to college to study Law. I first qualified as a Barrister in 1998 and immediately started work specialising in Road Traffic, Personal Injury. I then qualified as a Solicitor in 2001 and in 2004, left the firm I had been working for to set up my own independent practice, Sciolti & Co. In addition to this I have been lecturing other solicitors in how to effectively handle road traffic Personal Injury claims since 2002. In the meantime, I have had a motorbike licence since 1988 and an HGV licence since 1996 and have been a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists since 1990. Hence my particular interest in road traffic cases. The Personal Injury industry is a fiercely competitive market and I believe there is a trend within some of the larger firms to using less experienced/ less qualified staff in an effort to economise on costs. My concern is that it is the Claimant in that situation who ultimately suffers. In addition, Solicitors as a whole are often criticised for failing to explain things clearly enough or even failing to return calls at all! In establishing my own practice, my aim is to offer the type of service that I would wish to receive myself. I would hate to think that any of my clients felt left in the dark or confused over any advice I provided, or that they considered me difficult to get hold of! So if I, with my individual approach to Personal Injury claims, sound like the kind of person you wish to act for you in your claim, then give me a call or drop me an e-mail. Remember, it costs nothing to Ask Giles! |
'Ask Giles!' is the internet trading name of Sciolti & Co.
